Today’s retail launch of the Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is a crucial test for Apple’s riskiest iPhone strategy. For the first time, Apple introduced its latest iPhone upgrades while simultaneously teasing something better coming soon — what, by Apple’s own admission, is “the future.” SEE ALSO: Here are the first photographer-shot iPhone 8 pictures Apple’s iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are, based on my review and what I’ve seen elsewhere on the web (and even in teardowns), “S” series devices in full-number-update clothing. Except for the glass back, the handsets maintain the iPhone 6 design introduced in 2014. […]

The system is the key to Apple’s new “Face ID” biometric security technology, Animoji, and several other new features. Kuo’s bold predictions come shortly after he watched Apple’s official demonstrations of the camera system, […]

‘Silicon Valley’ shows how ridiculous the new iPhone X truly is

Sometimes, it takes the cast of Silicon Valley to poke fun at the real world Silicon Valley. While the show masterfully ribs its own version of tech industry, a new cut from Funny or Die mashed scenes from Silicon Valley with Apple’s iPhone keynote to reveal the ridiculousness that is the IRL iPhone X.  Sure, the iPhone X is an impressive phone (it better be with that price tag), but the way Apple fans praise anything the company does is something we should all call out and laugh at. While cool, Animoji is not the breakthrough technology we need (or […]
