The service brings two-hour, and even one-hour deliveries, for tens of thousands of household items, from eggs and cold beer to diapers and detergent. Amazon will offer discounted Prime membership to customers receiving food stamps

The tech giant will offer Prime membership at a discounted price of $5.99 a month to low-income families receiving government assistance, Amazon announced Tuesday. Prime usually costs $10.99 a month, which comes out to about $132 a year, or $99 a year if paid annually.
